The Vocal Development Series is an initiative designed by Little Joke Productions to create well-rounded, professional vocal training opportunities in New Zealand.
Each two-day event is themed around the tutors presenting and their particular specialities. The series pairs leading New Zealand performing arts teachers and performance practitioners with international guest artists - bringing world-class training, inspiration, and networking to New Zealand performers without the need to travel internationally. Tutors bring their own specialties, from vocal health and audition technique to storytelling and industry insight, making every event in the series unique.
TVDS is training for performers who want to grow, be inspired and connect with other like-minded people. From those returning after a break, to emerging and mid-career performers, and teachers, there is something for everyone at our events. We at Little Joke are committed to providing high quality training and we delight in making the events as warm and welcoming as possible.

This is a professional development space for passionate young performers and adults to learn together. With workshops, masterclasses, and Q&A in a supportive, respectful environment focused on growth, technique, and artistry.

Rebecca McFadzien - Self-Tapes & Musical Theatre to Screen. Practical tools for translating stage performance to camera.
Tour Dates:
The events run 9:30 am - 6:30 pm with breaks.

AUCKLAND | Symphonia Music Centre | 26 & 27 January
Age limit: Open to performers aged 14+. We welcome dedicated young artists ready to learn alongside professionals but please note this is an adult learning environment with mature discussion around performance and the industry.
Masterclass spots: Limited spots available to work on one one in front of the group coached by the tutors. Participants will be drawn 1 month before the event. Additional fee applies and will be invoiced separately.
